Overview
Lightroom Classic has evolved over the years from a friendly but very limited tool aimed at beginner to intermediate level photographers to a tool that has become indispensable for photographers of all levels including professional.
As Lightroom Classic has improved over the years it has become, because of the breadth of tools added, much more powerful but somwhat less intuitive.
What used to be a tool that many, if not most, people could work out a rasonable workflow on their own has now evolved into a tool that can be overwhelming if you don't approach it with a solid workflow in mind.
We offer three levels of instruction in Lightroom Classic:
Beginner
choosing where and how you are going to store images from each shoot to starting to find your style of post production.
This includes:
- Importing and organising your images
Lightroom has many options for importing and numerous organisation tools. You can learn a great basic workflow. - The Develop module from top to bottom
This is where the magic happens. The Develop module contains all the tools for making changes to your images. - Basic masking
Sometimes you want to have a change affect only part of an image. Masking is how you do it. - Exporting your images
If you want to send files off for print or if you want to put images up on social media you'll need to export them first.
All this and more is covered in one 4-hour group session. Groups are limited to a maximum of four participants. We keep our group sizes down so that we can spend time with each and every participant to make sure all questions are answered.
We'll help you start your journey towards better photos.
Intermediate
Taking the complexity of your post production up a notch and knowing what to do in Lightroom Classic and what might need to be done in another package such as Photoshop or Topaz Labs software.
Advanced
Custom sessions specifically designed to cover exactly what it is you want to achieve with your files in your personal style of post processing.
Because of the nature of advanced sessions being so specific to the needs and style of a particular photographer, they are only offered on a 1-to-1 basis. Whether performed remotely or in person we want each session to be tailored to your exact needs.
